Social studies teacher marries over the summer

This past June, another teacher joined the ranks of the married. Not only did chemistry teacher Kathy Nakamatsu and economics teacher Todd Dwyer tie the knot with their longtime significant others, but U.S. government and U.S. history teacher Margarita Lozano also recently got hitched.

Lozano, now known as Margarita Morrelle, met her current husband, Charles Morrelle, at a party in Los Angeles about two-and-a-half years ago.

“[My husband] is French and he was the only man in the party who was a European wearing tight, skinny jeans,” said Margarita. “Everybody else in the occasion was purely Mexican and he completely stood out.”

Ever since, Lozano knew that she and Charles had matching interests. She really enjoys married life.

“Being married is actually a lot of fun and it’s quite exciting,” said Morrelle. “We moved [to the Bay Area] before we got married and starting a new life in a different environment is extremely interesting.”

Lozano looks forward to pursuing her interests along with her husband.

“[Charles] truly is my best friend and I look forward to sharing multiple activities with him, such as grading papers with him on my side or discussing politics with him,” said Morrelle.
