Classes in the science wing sometimes feel as if they’re about a mile from the cafeteria. When I walk to lunch from AP Physics C after 3rd period, I already know that a monstrous, 20-minute line in front of the cafeteria awaits me. My depression grows as I watch the backpacks pile up and scores of scurrying freshmen to get in line first or saving places for their friends. It’s enough to make me want to eat off campus every day.
By the time I get inside the cafeteria, I open the milk fridge just to see rows upon rows of chocolate milk with no other options. Accepting the disappointment, I look to the leftover options that hundreds of hungry students refused to take minutes before. And the person in front of you has an ID card issue …
Instead of one lunch period for 1,000+ students, at least have scheduled timings. Please make it so that lunch break is less of a “lunch wait.”
