A lot has changed for me since I was a freshman (I’m now a junior), but one thing that hasn’t is my handy-dandy GAXOS backpack, priced at dirt-cheap $26 on sale down from its usual price of $30. I know, it’s a company you’ve probably never heard of.
Well, neither had I, until I sat down to write this article. Just a couple days before my freshman year had started, I was desperately surfing Amazon to order a backpack.
In the rush of the moment, I clicked on a random black bag, hoping for the best. My only criteria: It couldn’t be one of those boxy, rectangular and ugly hiking bags from The North Face. After carrying one of those around Europe for a week, I never want to use one again.
What I ended up finding was the most beautiful and mesmerizing backpack I’d ever use: the GAXOS teen backpack. To showcase my love for this backpack, I rated it in four different categories to cover all of what makes it so great: comfort, versatility, durability and style.
Comfort
When you’re taking seven classes, your backpack should be able to last through those tiring hours — especially for the frenzied run across campus from the vending machine to APUSH because you lost track of time again. And no matter how far or tiring the run is, my backpack sits squarely on my shoulders, even after lugging around 11 pounds of my papers, laptop and more throughout the day — saving me from a future of crippling back pain.

Versatility
This backpack doesn’t just have to be used for school. You can look cute and feel comfortable anywhere! I take mine to the robotics room, to my (oh so fun) SAT classes, and even around the world when I travel. Its five compartments make up a total capacity of 25.3 liters, allowing for lots of storage and easy organization.

Durability
I’m sure many of you have had issues with needing replacements for backpacks, even after just one year. In middle school, being the careless person I am, I would go through a backpack every six months. None of them could last me as long as a year until I met the GAXOS: it’s absolutely perfect for a clutz like me.
It’s already lasted me two years of high school, and if you have a fat, heavy Owala like me, it’s perfect for holding the big bottle without letting it fall over.

Style
At this point, you must think that there has to be some kind of hidden downside to the backpack — surely, it can’t be amazing both functionally and aesthetically. But believe me when I say it’s as close to flawless as you’re going to get. This backpack not only comes with four complimentary button pins, but also the softest and most adorable looking teddy bear keychain.
But most importantly, it does not have a disgusting, wretched square shape like the North Face backpack (you can tell how much I really hate it), though that’s honestly a low bar. (Whoever made that bag really needs to get fired. Style should not have to be sacrificed for anything else!)

Although I am too lazy to put the free pins and teddy bear on my bag they are an adorable accessory to add.
Despite its remarkably low price, the GAXOS bag is one of the best in the market, especially compared to much pricier bags selling in the $80 range. It doesn’t sacrifice comfort, versatility, durability or most importantly, style. If you’re in desperate need of a backpack for anything, GAXOS is a surefire pick.
