Top 10 lyrics that make no sense

December 2, 2021 — by Apurva Chakravarthy
This list shows I pay attention to the wrong things in life.
  1. There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti” from “Lose Yourself” by Eminem

I understand the concept, but the execution here was as messy as mom’s spaghetti.

  1. Don’t be scared, ’cause I’m your body type” from “Cool for the Summer” by Demi Lovato

Thanks for the reassurance, but why would I be scared that you are my body type?

  1. Beat’s so big, I’m steppin’ on leprechauns” from “Boom Boom Pow” by Black Eyed Peas

When the beat goes hard, I start dancing or singing along. Stepping on leprechauns would not be the first thing that comes to mind.

  1. “If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends” from “Wannabe” by Spice Girls

Having your S.O. be friends with your friends? Ideal. GETTING with your friends? That will make for some awkward conversations at Friendsgiving.

  1. That girl is a uckers

When the ting went quack-quack-quack

You man were ducking (You man ducked)” from “Mans not Hot” by Big Shaq

I learned a valuable lesson today: Never tell your man to take off his jacket because Mans is NOT hot.

  1. This hit, that ice cold

Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold” from “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars

I can’t even begin to unpack this one. Why is Michelle Pfeiffer being compared to white gold, and why is the white gold so darn cold?

  1. When we’re on the phone and you talk real slow

‘Cause it’s late and your mama don’t know” by “Our Song” by Taylor Swift

Never one to hate on Queen Taylor, but your mama will STILL hear you if you talk slowly in a loud tone.

  1. “This love will make you levitate … like a bird without a cage but down to Earth” girl what from “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry

Suddenly, birds now levitate instead of fly. Also, how do you levitate down to Earth?

  1. “Before you came into my life I missed you so bad” from “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen

Maybe I’m getting this wrong Carly, but how do you miss someone if you’ve never met them?

  1. “She’s indecisive. She can’t decide.” from “Eenie Meenie” by Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber

Thanks, Sean, but clearly you were a little indecisive/couldn’t decide between two phrases that mean the SAME THING.
