The girls' lacrosse team prepares for the upcoming season.

Coach: New head coach Krista Cavanaugh and assistant coach Danny Wallace

2013-2014 Record: League: 13-6

2013-2014 Season Recap: The team traveled to San Diego last spring break but was not able to compete in a tournament due to not having enough players. There, the team was also able to visit the United States Olympic Committee for Lacrosse. The team won league semifinals for the first time in the team’s history, making the 2013-2014 season the furthest that girls’ lacrosse has ever gone.

Star Players: Senior Cristina Crolla, junior Talia Clement and sophomore Julia Vita

Key Additions: Junior Nicole Prowse

Key Matchups: Saint Francis and Palo Alto on March 21 and March 26 respectively since these are the two best teams in the league.

Key Losses: 2014 graduates Ingrid Hong and Risha Shah and junior Iva Glumac

League: Santa Clara Valley League

Prognosis (quick summary of what we expect this season): With completely new coaches for both the varsity and the JV team, lacrosse is looking to emphasize team bonding this year. The team has started pre-season workouts and is implementing new weight room workouts every week with the help of new varsity assistant coach Danny Wallace. “I hope that everyone on the team has fun with a competitive spirit that will allow us to advance as far as we did last year,” junior co-captain Talia Clement said.
