The football team continued its winning streak when it beat the Monta Vista Matadors 48-7 on Sept. 21 at home.
Although the Matadors scored first, making the score 7-0, the Falcons dominated the rest of the game and did not allow the Matadors to put up a single point on the scoreboard.
The Falcons scored two touchdowns by the end of the first quarter making the score 12-7. Senior running back Eric Castronovo ran the ball in the touchdown zone and junior wide receiver Travis Stokes scored a touchdown pass from junior quarterback Jonathan Walters.
By the end of the half, the Falcons led 29-7. Senior wide receiver Kyle Dozier and junior wide receiver Grant Faylor both scored touchdowns off passes from Walters. Senior kicker Stephen Ruff added an extra three points with a field goal.
Sophomore running back and wide receiver Joey Medeiros scored two touchdown passes and Faylor scored one touchdown pass.
The 3-0 Falcons will play their first league game against the Wilcox Chargers on Sept. 28 at home.
