- Thanks,
For bonus points, include an exclamation point! Or, opt for a lowkey, passive-aggressive “Thanks” and just end like that, no names no anything.
- Kind Regards,
This is typically for more formal cases. Pretty hard to go wrong with this one, unless you’re talking to a best friend (expect a call from them checking up on your mental state.)
- Sincerely,
This was my default up until 9th grade, when I became aware that other email-sign offs existed, so I stopped using it for a while. Nevertheless, it’s still a nice switch up from “Kind Regards.”
- Best wishes,
While it’s basically a copy-paste synonym swap of “Kind Regards,” it’s another nice default to lean on. If you are feeling extra intellectual and creative, try “Best regards” or “Kind wishes.” 🙂
- Take care,
Use for closer acquaintances! Add enthusiasm with an exclamation mark or supplement with a smiley face 🙂

Your recipient does not — and will never — know how long you spent interrogating ChatGPT for a list of unique, unconventional email sign-offs.
- Let me know if you have any questions!
Optionally, conclude with a period if you aren’t excited enough to append a “Please” to enhance this effect.

As if the three embarrassing syntax mistakes weren’t obvious enough. Or, if you wanna fake being busy or in a rush, manually type this out on your laptop.
- Yours truly,
It’s simple, intimate and heartwarming. If you’ve opened with “Dear __,” consider this or “Love…”
- Cheers!
My new default, after seeing how some of my energetic teachers write. You will be seeing me use this in my attempt to convey Jay Gatsby’s rich, all-American smile.
