10. Kit-kats
A classic treat. What’s not to love about a chocolate-covered wafer cookie? Bonus points if it’s either strawberry or matcha flavored.
9. M&M’s
Milk chocolate M&M’s? No thank you. But dark chocolate M&M’s? Or peanut M&M’s? Let us take that little pouch of treasure off of your hands.
8. Nerds
Not to be a nerd, but the sugar crystal and powdery sour coating creates a splendid contrast and pop of flavor in each bite; we love our nerds. But the sugar crystal sometimes is too much — it makes us want to floss.
7. Sour Patch Kids
If you haven’t heard of Sour Patch Kids, you’re living under a rock — it’s an almost jelly-textured gummy candy, with a sprinkle of citric acid on top. However, it’s definitely not sour enough. To the Sour Patch Kids makers: please increase the amount of sourness in the coating as much as the physics curve boosts my test grade…
6. Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers
These have wormed their way into our hearts — pun intended. The crunchy sour exterior perfectly compliments its dual-wielded fruity flavors.
5. Pop Rocks
They’re pretty much just Nerds, but with a tingling sensation. On the rare occasion that we find a pack of pop rocks in our pumpkin trick-or-treat baskets, best believe we will be savoring every grain. As the tingling sensation of the candy slows and melts on our tongue, we get a sweet little concert inside our mouths – pun intended.
4. Warheads
There’s no better feeling than the stinging pain of extreme sourness. Yes, we’re those people that feel perfectly happy eating Warheads while everyone else is fighting a battle inside their mouths (once again, pun intended).
3. Twix
It’s one of the only chocolate bars that lives up to its advertisements: pulling it apart never fails to showcase a stretchy caramel filling. As perfectly-sized, crisp cookies topped with caramel and coated with chocolate, Twix bars check all the boxes!
2. 100 Grand
Don’t be fooled by the packaging of 100 Grand bars. Its bland, old-school appearance does absolutely no justice to what’s inside: a perfect consistency of thick caramel coated with milk chocolate and rice crispies, just a notch above Twix.
1. King-size crunch bars
King-size candies in general are Halloween royalty (last pun, we promise) — but Crunch bars take the cake, or should we say, candy. The chocolate coatings on these mini rice malt balls enhance their naturally crunchy texture, balancing sweetness with a little bit of roasted rice aroma.
