He mentions, “A helmet, girdle ‘armor pants,’ and shoulder pads are all that I need.” Yet, he stresses the importance of recovery gear for his overall performance: “Normatechs, ice bath bins, rollers, athletic tape, and properly fitting protective equipment are all things that play a massive role in my season.” For Victor, staying healthy through the demanding football season means focusing on both injury prevention and recovery.
Victor also highlights how recovery tools are essential in preventing future injuries. “We have some truly grueling workouts and practices that, if we don’t recover properly from, will leave us messed up for days,” he explains. A lack of recovery can lead to poor performance in practices, increasing the risk of more injuries. Victor emphasizes that high-quality protective gear is crucial not only for preventing injuries during practice but also for aiding recovery afterward. “In short, proper and high-quality protective equipment will keep athletes from being hurt to begin with, and good recovery technology keeps athletes healthy even after extreme physical activity.”

He uses various recovery tools like foam rollers, massage guns, ice baths, cold plunges, and heat pads. For Jayden, recovering from injuries is as critical as game preparation. “Playing football is really taxing on your body, and not recovering can risk injury,” he says. Recovery allows Jayden to maintain peak condition and avoid long-term setbacks. “The most important thing in-season is to make sure you recover for sure.”
Jayden also emphasizes the importance of a recovery routine. He says, “It’s also important to stretch and try to lift in-season as well.” Establishing a recovery routine is just as vital as playing and practicing. For Jayden, the ability to play without being sidelined by injuries is essential for success. “The best ability is availability, so I always try to utilize recovery and get as close to 100% as I possibly can.”
