- Learning cool stuff
We all have to wake up in order to go to school as our de facto jobs, of course, but sometimes the lessons are surprisingly fun and informative, like computer science or chemistry. Or perhaps you’re eager to talk to a teacher or study with a friend during tutorial.
- Eating the cafeteria food
Truth be told, our school’s food is a lot better than what passes for meals in many other districts. The free breakfast is also the most important meal of the day, and it gets you up and going, ready to pursue whatever adventure you have for the day. What’s not to like?
- Playing “Brawl Stars”
Some people get to school very early just to play video games with friends before starting their stressful academic day. Whatever gets you out of bed . . .
- Enjoying music building shenanigans
I know that some of you guys are not actually using the music building in the morning for music-related purposes. Practical jokes are a great reason to be out of bed.
- (Potentially) being productive
I will sometimes do homework in the morning just like many others who get to school early to do homework. It is 100% not because I forgot to do it the night before …
- Using the school bathrooms
Maybe I drank too much water before going to bed so that I have to be a frequent visitor to the school bathrooms the next day. On a side note, the music building bathrooms are where I would choose to go. They are the cleanest bathroom facilities on campus, probably even cleaner than mine at home.
- Catching up with the homies
Take this opportunity to engage and interact with friends. High school creates some of the fondest memories, so don’t let that go to waste! The next time your friend hits you up early in the morning, don’t reject them! Instead, get out there with them.
- Working out
Little known fact, the school’s weight room is actually open in the morning for early birds to train and condition. Not interested in weight lifting? There’s many other forms of exercise you can do, such as the Saratoga Bike Club’s morning bike rides. No matter the exercise you choose, the physical and motivational gains you get are worth waking up at 5.
- Hoping for a false fire alarm
Hoping that a false fire alarm will sound and you can set on an epic journey to the lower field while talking with your good friends in the class.
- Seeing your crush
Self-explanatory: Who doesn’t have this daily highlight of high school?
