Centering their performance around the iconic board game and movie “Jumanji,” the Class of ‘28 took on their first ever quad day at lunch on Oct. 15 with under 30 participants, including just five boys. Despite low sign-ups relative to the Class of `27 — which had more than 40 participants — this year’s class still pulled off a hilarious skit and dynamic dance routines.
With plenty of Generation Alpha slang and insults at the other grades, such as taunting the “sleep-deprived juniors,” the skit took up a majority of the 25-minute performance. They even brought out a set of bongos to add to the Jumanji theme.
“My favorite part about the skit was writing hilarious things and then hearing the audience’s offended reactions,” freshman Tessie Berger said.
The freshmen also performed four dances for quad day. They began with the all-girls dance to songs like “Get Up ft. Chamillionaire” and “Reckless and Sweet,” which had an aerial from Elaine Luo.
“I was so nervous before [the performance], but I feel like we did really good, and I think we were able to express ourselves as a group,” head choreographer Sophie Qi said.
Following the all-girls dance, the freshman performed K-Pop and Bollywood, ending with an energetic group dance, featuring Zisu Chen as the SHS Falcon mascot. At the end, the group gathered in celebration to Katy Perry’s “Eye of the Tiger.”
Reflecting on her grades’ performance, Anika Kalia said: “I think we had a lot of energy. We were really smiling and putting ourselves out there.”

Hello there!
Do we have videos of all these dances? As parent, we want to take a look :).
Thanks!
