- Sparkling Ice Cherry Limeade Soda ($2, in all vending machines)
Starting off strong, this tall bottle of liquid heaven is arguably the best deal in the vending machine, costing only $2 for 17 ounces.
- Brownie Brittle ($1.80, the machine near the library)
I used to avoid this snack because I thought it was just a regular sweet treat, but once I bit into its undeniably chocolatey and crunchy decadence, I was immediately hooked.
- Goldfish ($1.30, the machine next to the library)
Who doesn’t love these classic, animal-shaped crackers? That familiar, cheesy goodness always wins me over whenever I have trouble deciding what to get.
- Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars ($1.30, in all vending machine)
This delectable breakfast bar is definitely one of the more underrated items in the vending machine and deserves more hype, with its perfect combination of rich fruit filling and doughy coating.
- Brisk Lemon Iced Tea ($1.70, in all vending machines)
A sugary delight perfect for hot summer days, this saccharine drink would be much higher on the list if only it contained more than eleven measly grams of caffeine. (I found that out the hard way when the drink failed to keep me awake during my morning AP French class).
- Chocolate Chip CLIF bar ($2.40, in all vending machines)
Since it’s my fencing competition snack of choice, I’ve probably eaten more of these than I can count, and I refuse to listen to anyone who says that Z bars are better.
- Rice Krispie Treats ($2, in all vending machines)
Although it’s a tad bit overpriced at $2, there’s just something so
irresistible about the gooey, crackly Rice Krispie Treats that practically call out my name whenever I pass by the vending machine.
- Famous Amos Cookies ($1.80, the machine next the library)
You can’t go wrong with classic chocolate chip cookies — except when there’s literally only four of them in the bag.
- Kettle Brand Jalapeno Potato Chips ($1.80, the machine in Hallway near the English wing)
This beats Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos and literally any type of chip in the world (minus Takis, of course). Plain, potato chips covered in a savory powder, these morsels are the perfect afternoon snack that kept me sane during 6th-period APUSH in junior year.
- Sparkling Strawberry IZZE Soda ($1.80, in all vending machines)
Easily overtaking blackberry as the best IZZE soda flavor, this fruity concoction changed my life. As fate would have it, the vending machines rarely sell it, so this elusive soda has become a rare treat.
