Senior Graduation Night will take place following graduation on June 2 at 10:30 p.m. in the small gym, cafeteria, quad and football field. Check-ins will occur between 10 to 10:30 p.m.
Only students wearing Grad Night T-shirts will be allowed to attend the event. Shirts will be distributed at the end of graduation practice earlier that day at 9 a.m. from the snack shack in the Sports Plaza. To ensure safety, students will need to go through a security check and are not permitted to bring any food or drinks inside. If a student is caught with any sort of alcohol or substance, they will be sent home immediately.
Food trucks will be available starting 10:30 p.m., and other food and drinks will be provided by parent volunteers.
As of now, about 60% of parent volunteer spots are still waiting to be filled, and available parents are encouraged to sign up to avoid canceling some activities.
“Grad Night is a parent-run event and we can’t do it without parent volunteers,” principal Greg Louie said in his Friday Family Newsletter. “For example, we have rented carnival games, but need parents to run them. We have rented casino tables, but need parents to be dealers for both shifts during the night.”
After Grad Night, students will be able to pick up their memory boards before they leave. Grad Night will last until 6 a.m. and students will not be permitted to leave prior to then unless the school has pre-arranged with parents.
