Juniors in the Media Arts Program were scheduled to attend a performance of “Hamilton” at Broadway San Jose on Oct. 26. It takes the place of the normal trip to the Angel Island Immigration Station Museum in San Francisco due to the latter’s closure during the pandemic.
After studying important elements of U.S. History during the Revolutionary War era, many MAP students were excited to watch the show to cement their recently learned knowledge about the founding of the United States.
As for future field trips, Media Arts 2 teacher Joel Tarbox said that the plans are still up in the air, as some venues are not available for booking.
“There are factors that are beyond our control, but we’ll do what we can to make sure the field trips start happening again,” he said.
