100-word rant: New oats are inferior to the beloved old oats

An image of the old, golden and crunchy oats. They were beautiful.
An ode to what was the beloved granola: How can I rescue you out of misery?

On my way to lunch, I grabbed a yogurt off the counter as casually as I used to do nearly every day. But as soon as I took the first bite, I knew something was off. The oats that I once looked forward to eating had been changed for an inferior variation.

Before the change, the oats were crunchy, sweet and delicious. Putting a full spoon of gold-colored oats, I can feel the rush of sugar. I would have never hesitated to spend a precious five dollars; I would have sprinted to the lunch line after class just to get it.

However, a recent change to the oats type has worsened the quality and the taste. The color had been paler and the texture had been soggier. Chewing this kind of oats had become a torture rather than best part of lunch for me.

With these new changes, my heart was hurt and I was disappointed. I barely buy the lunch yogurt anymore. My plea to whoever has the power to right this wrong: Bring back my beloved oats!
