Getting up early on a Wednesday, the Leadership class served a teacher appreciation breakfast during collaboration Nov. 4, to honor the staff members for their commitment to excellent education for Falcon students.

Students from Leadership divided into groups, each assigned to purchase and set up food and supplies. The breakfast consisted of bagels from Saratoga Bagels, coffee from Peet’s Coffee,  juice and fruit.

In previous years, Leadership gave messages with lollipops to the teachers. This year, however, they decided to give out practical school supplies such as markers, paper clips and pens because they served a greater purpose for the teachers.

“I think the event went really well and was pretty smooth for most of the part and I am amazed that the teachers woke up earlier than usual to come,” junior Megana Saripella said. “We had one of our bagel orders mistakenly cancelled by miscommunication, but in the end we had more than enough food for the teachers and many got seconds.”

Almost all of the teachers were able to make it to the breakfast. Teacher Bret Yielding said he enjoyed the event and was glad to see the Leadership class in action.

“I really appreciated the efforts the students went through,” Yielding said. “All the teachers really appreciate how Leadership went out of their way and do this for us.”
