39 seniors become National Merit Semifinalists

 Out of over 1.5 million students who took the PSAT last October, 39 SHS seniors had scores among the top 1 percent, making them National Merit semifinalists. This number matches last year’s school record of 39

 Out of over 1.5 million students who took the PSAT last October, 39 SHS seniors had scores among the top 1 percent, making them National Merit semifinalists. This number matches last year’s school record of 39.

These students earned a score of 222 or above out of a possible 240.

Semifinalists of the competition who apply to be finalists have the opportunity to become National Merit Scholars in March 2016, where they will receive scholarship benefits and materials from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
