School may be cancelled, though unlikely

Update: There will be school today, according to Principal Paul Robinson, Assistant Principal Kerry Mohnike, and Assistant Principal Brian Safine.

Assistant Principal Kerry Mohnike said that power will likely be up before school begins tomorrow, “barring some problem repairing the transformer.” However, if “things are still sketchy in the morning by 7 a.m., that’s when decisions have to be made.”
Mohnike said that the repair crew will pull an all-nighter, and the call for closing school would not happen unless “we were sure power would not be restored.” However, even if the school loses power during a school day, Mohnike said the school would typically not close.
The decision to close down the school would be made by the district office.
