Principal Paul Robinson walked onto the podium on a Wednesday morning (Oct. 21) in front of 39 National Merit semifinalists and their families to congratulate the students on their outstanding accomplishment in scoring high on the PSAT last October.
“He commended us for our dedication for this academic achievement and how exceptional it is to make it this far,” said Kanaai Shah, one of the National Merit semifinalists.
The breakfast is held every year after the National Merit semifinalists are announced. The semifinalists socialize with one another while enjoying breakfast foods, including bagels and muffins.
Robinson also went around and spoke with the semifinalists’ parents since all of them were invited to commemorate their child’s accomplishment.
“We don’t often get to celebrate with mom, dad and siblings present at school,” Robinson said. “Meeting the families is always my favorite part of the breakfast.”
