The stage will be set in the McAfee Center for the Saratoga Idol singing competition on Nov. 20. All students are welcome to audition on Nov. 6 during tutorial, Nov. 7 during lunch and Nov. 8 during tutorial in room 601.
The event has not been planned to its full extent but is set to have a few changes from last year.
“There will be some differences, but you’ll have to come to find out,” junior class president Darby Williams said.
Besides being a fundraiser for the junior class, Saratoga Idol’s purpose is also to “bring the school together and have a night to celebrate the many talented students,” according to Williams.
Returning participants include sophomore Esha Krishnamoorthy. For her, the excitement lies in “seeing and hearing the new people and talents.”
Junior Michael Guo also participated last year, and he had a great experience meeting new people and receiving “great advice from awesome judges.”
“[I] had a great time showcasing what I love to do,” Guo said. “This year, I can’t wait to have some fun and sing my heart out.”
