People believed that protesting on Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day would bring about some sort of change. However, just as the Constitution gives people the right to protest, Trump rightfully won the election to be president, and, let’s face it, standing outside the White House holding posters and yelling is not going to change that.
If protestors want to affect real change, they should use their voices to appeal to members of Congress, fight to get rid of the Electoral College or find new candidates to support in the next election. But remaining in denial that Trump is in the Oval Office is useless and changes nothing.
