Language department honors hardworking students January 29, 2019 — by Isaac Le and Andrew Li The winners of the Language Department's Triple E awards have been announced. Twice a year, the foreign language department recognizes students who demonstrate the “triple Es” (effort, engagement and enthusiasm) within their classrooms. This fall, 32 students were awarded the Triple E award by eight different language teachers. One of these students was sophomore Feranno Liu, who received an award presented by Chinese teacher Sara Tseng. “It felt really good because I worked hard in Chinese class, and I feel like hard work is to be rewarded,” Liu said. The winners were recognized at a ceremony held in December.
