The boys' golf's last season went fairly well but not as well as the team had hoped. The team placed second in league finals, struggled in CCS and was eliminated in the first round.

Coach: David Gragnola

Last season's record: 10-2

Last season's recap: Last season went fairly well but not as well as the team had hoped. The team placed second in league finals, struggled in CCS and was eliminated in the first round.

Star player: senior Robbie Parden

Key additions: freshman twins Lucas and Miles Peng

Key matchups: Los Gatos and Milpitas during the season; Gunn and Palo Alto at  El Camino League tournament

The team has a clear vision of what they want to achieve.

“Last season left a bitter taste, but the goal for this season is very simple,”  team captain senior Robbie Parden said. “[We want to] go undefeated, win leagues and play the best we can in CCS.”

To reach this goal, team members will focus on playing well as a whole and helping each other improve throughout the season.  Playing well and supporting each other are critical to overcoming the challenges that the team will likely face against particularly difficult opponents like Los Gatos and Milpitas.

While Milpitas and Los Gatos' team have to deal with the loss of many of their key players, the Falcons only lost alumnus Michael Chen and do not need to adjust to any major changes coming into this season. Parden is confident that if the team consistently plays well, the Falcons will win even in the most difficult matchups.
