100-word rant: Please, I don’t want to freeze in class March 10, 2022 — by Nikhil Mathihalli 100 word rantI wake up to a beautiful morning in the middle of March. It’s a little chilly so I ask my Amazon Alexa for the forecasted weather. “Today in Saratoga, California, expect a high of 70 degrees and a low of 56 degrees.” It’s going to be a bit chilly, but for once I can take a break from thick sweats and wear some nice clothes. I throw on a flannel with a pair of jeans and leave for school. But as I enter my Spanish class, the atmosphere suddenly drops nearly 10 degrees. I’m trying to have a conversation with my classmates to get those three points of participation, but instead, I have to channel my energy into shivering so I can survive the Arctic-like environment. I know many teachers don’t have control over the heat or air conditioning in their rooms.
