The quad transformed into a red-carpet runway show for the annual Halloween parade and costume contest at lunch this past Thursday. This year’s Halloween celebration brought a sense of joy and community, showcasing the creative spirit of students and staff with costumes ranging from beloved Disney characters to Japanese mini-skirts.
The costume contest for the prize of $15 Starbucks gift cards was judged by the Spirit Commission, and the winners per category were as follows:
Best Duo: Campus supervisor/head football coach Archie Ljepava
& junior starting quarterback Anson Hulme (with the player dressing up as his coach)
Scariest: Vampire (freshman Felice Zhang)
Most Realistic: Chappell Roan (freshman Oliver Davis)
Best Retro: Ringo (junior Andrew Biderman)
Most Creative: Kiss, Marry, Kill (freshman Tessie Berger & Group)
Funniest: Lorax (sophomore Riley Marks)
Best Performance: Pikachu (freshmen Caleb Baek & Gavin Moore)
Best Group: Sailor Moon (junior Peter Faraone & Group)
Best Homemade: Amazon (Principal Greg Louie)
