Madhura Natarajan
I’ve got the best excuses to go back to sleep for any day of the week.
It’s winter
It’s sooo much nicer to remain bundled up in a blanket than to stomp around with ice cube-cold appendages.
It’s the first day of school
If I don’t acknowledge it, it’s not real — back to sleep I go.
It’s mile day in PE
I love running miles … in my sleep.
You forgot to scan in your homework the night before
I would rather return to my dream than see that zero in Canvas.
Your alarm is white noise
If I pretend hard enough, those piercing beeps turn into ocean waves.
You have to give a presentation in class
Bonus points if you have to dress up.
It’s not a Friday
What do you mean “school isn’t just one day a week?”
It’s a Red Day (8:30-3:45 school day)
Why is it so long? I think I’m developing junior arthritis from my red day backpack.
There’s MOSAIC today
Why should I open my eyes for something that doesn’t feel nearly academically or socially emotionally relevant enough to be spending an entire tutorial on? I can meditate in my bed just fine, thank you very much.
You need to finish the dream
It’s always the best part of the plot too — I need closure!
