There are multiple great times to arrive to class.
8:40 a.m.
This is the awkward time when you haven’t missed much, but the editors-in-chief are in the middle of doing a story spreadsheet check. You have to walk in front of the projector screen and awkwardly sit down in the dark while everyone judgingly stares at you.
Don’t show up
No one wants to skip the greatest elective offered on campus *eye roll*.
8:10 a.m.
You work in silence for 20 minutes before even the editors-in-chief have shown up. Maybe even finish up your story that was supposed to be done by today …
9:54 a.m.
Get a good night’s sleep without getting a cut on your attendance record. However, if this is consistent, you will get a surprise visit from Archie telling you that you have been specially selected for Treasure Toga.
8:26 a.m.
You have a few minutes to just sit and breathe in your seat before class starts. Talk to the people in class and get yourself ready for the long day ahead.
7:30 a.m.
Show up before everyone else and immediately get to work. The grind never stops, even when you have to sit outside the classroom because Mr. Tyler hasn’t arrived yet …
8:25 a.m.
This is the most reasonable time to arrive to classes that aren’t journalism, so you might as well get in the habit of showing up a few minutes early. However, if you’re only getting dropped off at this time, you better start running to class.
8:21 a.m.
According to our beloved Editor-in-Chief Saachi Jain, this leaves the perfect amount of time to set up the projector and talk to Mr. Tyler.
9 a.m.
Skip the monotonous, daily spreadsheet check and get straight into independent journalism work. Besides having to stop by the office before class, this is a great option if you have a few people to interview and stories to write.
8:32 a.m.
You showed up earlier than a third of the class and right in the middle of Mr. Tyler taking attendance, so as far as he’s concerned, you’re basically on time.
