Spirit Commission will host a Halloween spirit week during the week of Oct. 25.
Monday through Thursday will have specific costumes chosen by the Spirit Commission; Friday, students will wear Halloween Costumes and Rally Commission will host a Halloween Bash during lunch.

During the week of Oct. 25, the Spirit Commission will host a Halloween spirit week with different themes for each weekday: The themes are Matching Monday, Throwback Tuesday (‘80s), Dress to Impress Wednesday, West Coast (freshmen and juniors) vs. Wild West (sophomores and seniors) Thursday and Halloween Costume Friday.

Senior Spirit Head Commissioner Sadaf Sobhani said that the commission worked extensively to create themes that would be fun and incentivize students to dress up.

“In the past, we’ve often used themes like Pajama Day or Tacky Tourist, which are fun but very overdone,” Sobhani said. “This year’s themes are pretty innovative, and I hope a lot more students will dress up and commit.”

On the commission’s Instagram account @togaspirit the commissioners will also host a social media competition throughout the week where students send their submissions from each Spirit Day. The commission will vote on the best costume for each day and give the winners a $20 Starbucks gift card.

Additionally, a Halloween Bash with games and lunch will be hosted by the Rally Commission during lunch on Friday. Lunch will be extended on Oct. 28 and 29 to 45 minutes. There will be a runway leading from the quad steps to the middle of the quad, where teacher judges will evaluate each costume. Prizes will be given out for Best Solo, Best Pair, Best Group, Scariest, Cutest, Most Creative and Best Movie/TV Shows.
