The boys' swim team prepares for the upcoming season.

Coach: Christian Bonner

2013-2014 Record: 1-5

League: SCVAL De Anza League

2013-2014 Season Recap: Graduates Cameron Borch and Sasha Samoilov led the team in relays and made it to CCS. Three individuals and two relays reached finals in CCS. Of the three individuals, one was junior Bradley Newton, who will not be joining the team this year since he transferred to Los Gatos High School.

Star Players: junior Graham Schmelzer, junior Harrison Yang, junior Mason Lee, senior Calvin Shih

Key Additions: junior Jack Xie (moved from China)

Key Matchups: Los Altos (April 30)

Key Losses: Alumnus Cameron Borch and junior Bradley Newton

Prognosis (quick summary of what we expect this season): The team hopes to overcome the losses of their best swimmers from last season, Borch and Newton. The team is also smaller this year, so winning league games will be harder. However, there are several strong individual swimmers with a good chance at making CCS finals.

"Our goal is to get as many swimmers into CCS as possible. We had around 12 last year, but I think we can get much more in this year," said senior Randy Tsai.
